Guided Walks

Galloway Hills

Galloway Forest Park & Hills

Whether you are visiting the Galloway Forest Park for the first time, or have enjoyed some walking in the area already, Way of the Wild will help you to further discover the special qualities of the beautiful Southern Uplands and surrounding area. Called by one guide book "A Walker's Paradise" the Galloway Hills are the highlands of south-west Scotland - a tract of rocky, boggy, wilderness hills with some forest cover. There are options for all levels of walkers, you can marvel at the wilderness qualities of the hills, or follow the wanderings of Robert the Bruce, or base yourself at a remote bothy to enjoy walks in the heart of the Galloway Hills. In keeping with our respect for where we live and work, Way of the Wild would like to share our ‘back garden’ with you; always remembering to look after ourselves, each other and the local communities and environment we move through. Get in touch and Way of the Wild will help choose a suitable route together and ensure our plan will work for the forecasted weather and the people you’re walking with. This will help increase your own confidence and skills to plan future adventures and expand your knowledge to #BEADVENTURESMART.

Lake District National Park
