Introduction to Bushcraft Day 1

This full day can be attended as a stand alone or followed up with a second consolidation day to cement the learning before taking the newly acquired skills away. The day will cover the following topics:

Fire Lighting: This session is a favourite and includes natural and manmade tinder, fire lays, fire lighting techniques and friction fire lighting.

Shelter Building: Build a simple yet effective A frame or Lean-To shelter, learn how to set up a tarp

Natural Cordage: Making string from plant fibres

Foraging: Learning to identify edible, medicinal, and poisonous plants, identify trees and learn tree uses.

Water preparation:  Worthwhile knowledge if you're travelling and venturing out into wild places.

Natural Navigation: An introduction to the art of finding your way using nature, including the sun, moon, stars, weather, land, sea, plants and animals

Introduction to Bushcraft Day 2 

The second of two days, will recap the skills learnt in the first day and individuals will be set projects to complete to consolidate the learning of the first day, finishing with a meal cooked from foraged plants, sitting around the fire.
